Foreigners that aspire to study in Colombia in recognized universities, technical schools or other educational institutions. It is also valid for student internships and academic exchanges through agreements between higher education institutions.

Business Visa
Who can apply for this visa?
This visa is granted to individuals who are visiting Colombia for business, meetings, negotiations, conferences or to explore potential comercial opportunities. This visa can be granted for up to two (2) years, however you are only allowed to stay in Colombian territory for 180 days (continous or non-continous) within every 365 days period, counted from the date of the visa approval.

Tourism Visa
Who can apply for this visa?
For Nationals from countries that are not exempt from the short-stay visa requirement for Colombia, who wish to visit the country for tourism or cultural purposes. This visa can be obtained for a period of up to 1 year with an initial 90 day authorized stay, which can be extended for an additional 90 days, either consecutively or intermittently.

Medical Treatment Visa
Who can apply for this visa?
Foreign patients that will receive medical and dental care in Colombia. It can also be granted to a companion if the patient requires one. This visa can be granted for a period of up to one (1) year and is not extendable within the national territory.

Beneficiary Visa
Who can apply for this visa?
The Colombia beneficiary visa is for those economic dependents of the main visa holder, such as spouse, permanent partner, children under 25 years of age, or those over 25 years of age, who have a duly qualified disability that prevents them from being economically independent.
